Activists and Leaders Show Strength in the Fight Against Gun Violence

Friday was the sixth anniversary of Sandy Hook, and the strength of those who refuse to accept the status quo on guns was on full display at NRA Headquarters. Several members of the Hunter Mill District Democratic Committee were on hand to make their voices heard. Area elected officials were there to lead the fight to save lives through common sense reforms to the nation’s and the Commonwealth’s gun laws.

In November 2019, Democrats have the opportunity to win a majority in the Virginia statehouse and pass laws to address gun violence in our state. It starts with supporting Jennifer Boysko for the Virginia Senate in the special election on January 8, 2019, and it continues through the rest of the year.

Elections have consequences, and when we elect people who want to address the plague of gun violence we can save lives and honor the tragic victims of horrible events like Sandy Hook.
